Witek Kulczycki is a Musical Education graduate, originally from Poland, living in Galway, Ireland since 2016.
Multiinstrumentalist and vocalist involved in various projects fusing Irish music with other genres (Balkan, Flamenco, Folk-Rock, Sea Shanty, Sung Poetry, Jazz, Eastern music etc.). Former leader of the Irish music band Duan. Composer, arranger, and session musician recording music for computer games, and for the promotion thereof – ‘The Witcher’, ‘Green Hell: Spirits Of Amazonia’, ‘Clash II’, as well as the ‘Imperial settlers’ board game.
Author of ‘Skellige’ recorded with DUAN written for the promotion of ‘The Witcher’.
Participating in projects such as ‘Baba Yarga’, ‘I’m Your Dirty Sacred’, ‘Hear The Dance’, ‘Celtic-Balkan Power Project’ (with Carrantuohill i Fanfare Ciocarlia), Mandelbrot Set, Funky Space, Orientacja na Orient; and bands/soloists such as Duan, Michał Czachowski (Indialucia), Lucyan, Beltaine, Cztery Refy, Sąsiedzi, Orkiestra Samanta.
Performed all across Europe (Poland, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic.
Teacher at various instrumental workshops, with 30 years’ experience in Irish Traditional Music.
